Chaplain Jennifer R. Williams
Chaplain Williams became a member of Civil Air Patrol (CAP) in June 2006 and assumed the position of Chaplain for the Lynchburg Composite Squadron in July of 2018. Prior to assuming this position, she served as Character Development Officer at a Composite Squadron in New Jersey. Chaplain Williams is a 27-year Military Veteran who is a retired USAF Flight Nurse/Medical Crew Director. Chaplain Williams is an Ordained Minister with 23 years in Ministry. She is an appointed, endorsed, and certified Civil Air Patrol Mission Chaplain. Chaplain Williams is a master’s prepared Pastoral Counselor and a Critical Incident Stress Management Provider for the “individual” and “group” in crisis. Her other squadron role is as a part of the flight crew as a Mission Scanner for CAP’s Search and Rescue Mission in times of crisis. Chaplain Williams oversees the moral and spiritual welfare of the Civil Air Patrol members and guides them in living out our Core Values. She watches out for the well-being of every person in the squadron and provides appropriate response and care in times of crisis. Chaplain Williams advises the commander, squadron leaders, and members concerning the spiritual needs, religious requirements, and ethical issues that impact the mission. Chaplain Williams provides guidance and ensures that the quality of life and the religious freedoms of all Civil Air Patrol members are unencumbered.
